Everyone and his or her dog want to become an Internet Entrepreneur. Let me give you some facts about Internet Businesses:-

There is no get rich quick Schemes, the people that seem to have the answer to unlimited riches are selling to other people who want internet riches I would suggest that greater than 95% of these schemes are scams, another 4% are misguided and 1% are genuine but take time and effort.

Search Google images for Internet Entrepreneur, many cheesy grins from people in poses of self confidence.

Most of these people are selling to other so called Internet Entrepreneurs.

If you think something is a scam search Google with the title and include scam. You will soon find out how good the offer is. Be careful of reviews they are often from people reviewing their own product.

The days of the dot com millionaires are long gone, unless you have a completely unique idea or a new take on an existing idea it is unlikely to result in wealth.

However, there are still ways to make money on the internet, but it does take time and some investment.  One method I can recommend is the SBI system. This is really several items in one.

1. A course in internet site development
2. Tools for creating and promoting a web site
3. A library of informative books and articles
4. Forum of active people that can offer advice and help.
5. A web-hosting and domain package
6. In addition several other items you will not get anywhere else.

In order to create a business from this system you will have to spend many hours developing your ideas and writing informative articles and pages for your web site. I would suggest that if you work hard you would have a small income in between 8 to 12 months, depending on the niche you choose. A really worthwhile living could take around 20 months or greater.

Whilst this may sound a bit long winded, its similar to any startup business in terms of timescale. Most businesses take two years to reach reasonable profitability.

I have been involved with web sites for many years but I am using the SBI system as it saves a lot of messing about and provides a clear path to achieving a successful web business.

My advice if you decide to open a web business:-

Try to use existing skills you already have, try to use knowledge and experience; people will pay for the right advice and information.

Try not to be too pushy in putting ads on your site, give it time, people do not like to be pressured. Give good information free and incorporate useful ads on your site.

Don’t buy ready made sites, particularly from eBay, unless they are exclusive, normally they are online shops, search engines auction sites etc. This sounds attractive and cheap, but you will be just one of many thousand people trying to promote the same content it is futile to expect a large profit.

Do provide content, try to think like the target visitor look are trying to attract what do they want to know, what do they want you to supply ? Fulfill this need and you are on your way to success, eventually.
