New App For Announcing Arrivals At Meetings Launched

A new app for announcing arrivals at meetings launched by the team that created Lowdown.

The London startup who created Lowdown launch a new mobile APP called “HERE.”

The app has been developed to make it fast and simple to let your contacts know when you arrive at your planned destination.

One of the primary functions for the app is notifying that you have arrived at your meetings,  users Tap HERE and the invitees – in the calendar invite get an email, or if they have HERE, they get a notification.  If no invitees, users can add a contact via a contact picker from their address book.

Also, users that have a location in their scheduled meetings get a geo-location notification to say, “looks like you’re arriving, want to send a HERE?” Allowing access to Contacts, Location, Notifications and Calendar are important, Co-Founder David Senor commented “Lowdownapp Ltd, do not see this data, its secure on the device.”Other non-business related uses have already been applied by HERE users such as arriving at holiday destinations, and airport arrivals etc.

Soft launched two months ago and has a growing user base of around 2,000 users. Another interesting point to note and originally published in an article on TechCrunch is that Co-Founder David Senior says that developing the “Here” app took 5 days as opposed to their previous product “Lowdown” which took 14 months.
