Your Personal Branding Is S#*! And How To Fix It

Branding gets you laid, paid or spayed.
Unlucky for you, I’m a bad dating coach, my advice to “send her more memes” probably wouldn’t “convert” very well. But I can get you paid, read this:

Luckily I’m a B2B Growth Hacker, and a relatively okay one at that. Let me show you what it takes to BE EVERYWHERE.
Not only that, but I’ll show you how to automate your everywhereness. It doesn’t matter if you’re starting from zero. You’ll just have to scale up the credibility ladder. Everything I’m about to show you works. And I’ve never posted about this before.

So listen up!

First I challenge you to pick only ONE of the following, I guarantee if you suck, but you do one of the following for the next 5 years, you’ll earn $100,000 a year. Minimum. So here goes, as expected. Virtual assistants and cold email are HUGE:

1) Public Speaking

Public speaking is a great way to go from 0-100 credibility points real quick. I’m not going to show you how to be a good public speaker, that takes practice. But I know how to automate getting public speaking gigs easily.

Simply, go to Meetup and Eventbrite and send a message to EVERY single group owner that’s relevant to your niche. Great, but if your a lazy ass #%&! then you need some help.

So hire a VA, it takes 1 hour to teach them EXACTLY how to do this process for Meetup and Eventbrite.

1.1) Tell them you have a big network, even if you don’t they never check.
1.2) Some event owners will let you speak no matter what your credibility. People are nice like that… When you get your beginner speaking gigs, make sure you get everyone’s email and invite them to your FB group and following events.
1.3) Look at point 3 “Hold Live Events” below. This is HUGE leverage to asking meetup owners to host you.

2) Get yourself onto podcasts OR Get people onto your podcast.

Right, podcasting. This is my favourite thing to do, and it’s exactly the same process as public speaking. The good news is, there’s software to help you scale this up faster…

2.1) Pay for Buzzstream or NinjaoutreachPR.
2.2) Teach a VA to scrape the people you want to contact
2.3) Get onto Linkedin
2.4) Get a VA to scrape the people you want to contact
2.5) Get onto Google
2.6) Okay you get the idea, scrape a TON of email addresses of podcast owners. Or if it’s your podcasts, target influencers (Note: Audiense is also great for building huge lists of influencers)
2.7) Put the data into Quickmail. Email everyone saying you want to be on their podcast, say you have a large network. Rinse and repeat
As you build up the podcast ladder, your network will increase. Big time!

2.8) COPY THIS EMAIL COPY
Okay, I’ve decided I’m going to give you the best email copy on the internet. I came up with the concept a while back and it got me a 25% response rate from cold email…

This is dirty, and I haven’t actually told this line to people who pay me $1,500 for 1 day of consulting.

I’m willing to share it though, if enough people comment “I want to see magic” below 😉

3) Hold live events (or increase attendance to events you speak at)

Did you know you can email businesses in your area inviting them to your event?

Get cheap data from Email Magpie or Linkedin – Make sure you send quite a light hearted email (light hearted so the event sounds like fun, rather than a fricking drag).

This method has gotten tons of responses for events I’ve helped promote.

4) Get guest blog posts

4.1) Get Buzzstream or Ninjaoutreach PR.
4.2) Write 8 blog posts around certain topic and make them awesome.
4.3) Email blogs relevant to that topic saying you’ve reached out to a few publications and you’d like your blog to feature in theirs.

5) Get press!

Slightly harder! The best way to get press is a freaking awesome content marketing campaign.
  • A viral video
  • A hilarious/sad/angry/emotion (pick one) driving piece of content.
  • Again use Buzzstream
Then email your content to journalists, bloggers and places you want to be featured.

PRO TIP

“Pre-Marketing” BEFORE you spend money creating a piece of content, how about you act as if it’s already created.

  • Try emailing journalists before you create the content and see if it’s something they’d feature…
  • Amazon do this, they have the motto “Write the press release before creating the product”
  • This tactic would save corporate companies 100,000s on shitty marketing campaigns and bad products.

P.S You might have missed it. Regarding getting onto podcasts!

I’ve decided I’m going to give you the best email copy on the internet. I came up with the concept a while back and it got me a 25% response rate from cold email…

This is dirty, and I haven’t actually told this line to people who pay me $1,500 for 1 Days consulting. (they were consulting with me for lead generation not podcast generation – hence why)

I’m willing to share it though, if enough people comment “I want to see magic” below 😉
Comment and share to get the copy.
